Stealing a cop car doesn’t just happen in the movies

9:45 am August 5th 2019 a 20yr old was pulled over by a CHP officer near Temecula for speeding on a motorcycle, and not wearing a helmet. Instead of taking the simple ticket Adolfo Makana Moreno decided to ditch the bike and take off running on foot.  The CHP officer pursued Adolfo, but ended up loosing sight of him. Adolfo ended up back at the scene and stole the police car which he would later crash at Rancho California rd.  After he left the CHP vehicle he went into a local parking lot and forcibly carjacked a Lexus, and started down the 5 south.  A four car collision later and Adolfo was on foot again until he carjacked a Prius, because everyone knows if you’re trying to evade police and the helicopter a Prius is the getaway car you choose.  The pursuit ended at 11am in Mission Viejo.  Adolfo is being held on a 500,000 bail on 6 felony counts and 3 misdemeanors. I’m sure in hindsight Mr. Moreno is wishing he would have just taken the ticket.
